About TCN

Let’s talk about “church.”

“Church” is a loaded word. It can be either a guilt-ridden, duty-bound obligation, as in “Ugh, we better go to church,” or the embodiment of judgmentalism, snobbery or even intolerance. Church means a lot of things to a lot of people, and most folk’s interpretations sadly are based in at least some truth. So, we understand your reservations about “church,” because – believe it or not – we share those same reservations.

So, let’s start over. Let’s redefine this thing we call “church.” Let’s rethink, retool and reform. Let’s do what makes us and our world more like Jesus, and scrap the rest. Seriously. Because anything that keeps people from experiencing the love of Jesus is a terrible thing – even if that thing is “church.”

So, while we continuously try to figure out what God has for us next, the following is what we’re up to now. And we would LOVE to have you along for the ride!

Sunday 9:30 am
Worship!
Looking for a place to test the water at TCN? This is a good one. Worship, simply put, is recognizing and responding to the awesomeness of God. And, yes, you can do that anywhere (seen a good sunrise recently?). But there’s something special about getting together with others for the purpose of praising God. We meet together, sing songs of praise and worship (with the occasional old-school hymn thrown in, as well), spend some time talking to God in prayer and are challenged in the word of God by Pastor Jeff Rollison.

Inhouse: Conversations and education
Talk, laugh and learn. That’s the point of Inhouse, our special brew of casual small groups. We discuss contemporary issues, field follow-up questions from the sermon and conduct various Bible studies. Groups are continually changing. Come check out the conversation this week.

Saturday Evening (monthly)
Saturday Nite Light
If hymns and pews come to mind when you think “church,” think again! SNL is a monthly gathering of folks who may not be comfortable with traditional church. We keep it casual, sit around tables and enjoy good food, listen to classic rock-inspired music by the 5:14 Band and enjoy great fellowship. We’ll also have a short scripture-based devotion, which we hope makes you laugh and think. Got kids? Bring them along! We don’t provide child care, but we encourage families to hang out together, and the kids have a lot of fun. All are welcome! Hope to see you there.

Children’s Church
The worship service isn’t “one size fits all.” For the younger set, Children’s Church offers age-appropriate worship, activities and Bible lessons geared just for that age group.

Wednesday 6:30 pm
The Gathering
Everyone is welcome to come together on Wednesday evenings as we study God’s word and lift the needs of the church, our community and world to Him. The first Wednesday of the month is set aside for The Gathering community meal.

Small groups
As TCN has grown, the focus has gotten smaller. Home groups meet during the week throughout the community and allow for a personal openness, encouragement and growth that aren’t possible in a large group.
