Communications/administration

Troy (OH) Church of the Nazarene has a 32-hour per week opening for a communications/administration professional. The requirements for the position are:

1. A consistent modeling of the highest Christian character
2. College degree or previous professional experience in the areas of graphic design, writing and editing, with expertise in Microsoft Office and Adobe design platforms
3. A proven ability to work well in a team setting
4. A proven ability to work on multiple assignments concurrently and meet deadlines, all with an eye toward excellence

Troy Church of the Nazarene is a growing congregation with multiple ministerial and support staff. The communications/administration role offers support to the senior pastor, worship pastor, discipleship ministries director and leaders of various other ministries within the church family. The successful candidate will handle a variety of graphic design, writing and editing tasks as well as administrative duties. Some examples of those tasks are:

The weekly preparation of Powerpoint announcement slides and Powerpoint sermon slides; a printed bulletin (produced with Adobe InDesign software); the production of a weekly electronic newsletter and group telephone message sent to the church family; maintenance of the church website; attendance at weekly staff and worship-preparation meetings. Other duties include the production of three detailed ministry brochures during the year, creation of sermon series posters, overseeing materials offered at the church resource center and various other tasks assigned by the senior pastor and staff.

The position does not include health benefits.
